Exclamation Any LS1's Running A Window Switch ???

Just found out the msd window switch doesnt work properly with ls1 applications , and many other coil on plug apps . It cant read the 5 volt square signal and causes sputtering / jumping of the signal . This is a huge pita . Has anybody sent in there switch to msd to get modded for c. o . p yet Theres a ghetto mod that involves chopping the wire loops so it reads 4 cyl but its not recomended by msd and they say it can result in engine failure Im going to phone Mopac today and see If this new unit will work and if so how long it will take to score one .

RPM Activation Switch for distributorless ignition systems.

Activate and deactivate a circuit at desired rpm points.

If you need to activate a circuit at a desired rpm on your late model with a distributorless ignition system, this new CPC RPM Switch will do the trick!

This compact switch simply taps into one of the coil’s negative wires to receive an rpm signal. You select the rpm to activate a circuit with MSD’s plug-in modules. This Switch also allows you to set a different rpm point to deactivate the same circuit. Being able to turn off a circuit, such as in nitrous applications, is an important safety feature and could help save engine parts.

The Switch has two activation wires; one to provide a ground path to complete a circuit and another wire that will remove ground to open a circuit. The Window Switch is rated at 1.5 amps continuous so an MSD Relay may be necessary for high current circuits. For use on coil-per-cylinder ignition systems or dual tower coil packs with waste-spark firing.

The MSD Coil-Per-Cylinder Ignition System, PN 7600, requires a cam sync signal for the firing order of each coil. MSD engineers incorporated a Hall Effect Switch into the distributor plug to make things easy for you! This way, the oil pump is driven, the distributor hole is sealed and the ignition receives a sync signal. The billet aluminum housing is fit with a ball bearing to guide the polished steel shaft. An iron gear is installed.

EDIT ( notice the " DIS TACK DRIVER " thing says in tiny print at the very bottom " does not work with ls1 " but not the new window switch
