I bought a stock 84 Z 28 which has a 305 with 200,000 kms and I am wondering what times I could expect.

I ran a 17-17.4 second @ 78, 81 and 84, with my g-tech.

It always felt like it was leaning out before it would shift so I decided to check the fuel filter and change it.

Now my three runs were, 16.24-15.86 @86-91 mph, and it is still leaning out before shifts, so I ordered a mechanical fuel pump.

Next I am going to install a CAT eliminator tube and with a new fuel pump, I hope to drop down into the low 15's.

Has anyone hit 14's with a stock 305?

 

My buddie had an 84 Z auto and it took sooo long to switch gears I could beat him in my 86 2.8 everytime Do you have a shiftkit in that bad boy ??

Hey twitch, it cherps into second, so no problem there. Sideways, I have been considering a 150 shot, take it off of my typhoon, (cause I don't need it there anyways, not even when I am lined up with you), then see if I can burn into the 13's! Hell, maybe even beat you N/A.

 

One more thing Sideways, could I have the left lane pleaaaaaase!!

lol i got a stock 305 im putting in my camaro real soon here to pass aircare! ill race you bob, 100% stock only its gonna be behind a 3000 stall, modded th350 and 4.10's! and full length headers with true duals and flowmarter exh lol bring it

 

Jason (Z28), you are on, little boy. Out of curiousity, which lane were you in when,...... how do I say this, well, if you were to race a certain someone, which lane would you now choose?

 

well i was in the left lane when i fooked up

but i like the right lane best .. ran all my best times in the right one
