If you think the 03 cobra is just a GT with a blower you are under informed plain and simple. The 03 cobra uses a 4.6L Dual Over Head Cam 4V per Cylinder, fully forged internals (Pistons, Rods, Crank) V8, whereas the GT uses a Single Over Head Cam 2V Per Cylinder V8 with Cast internals. Thats not where the differences stop, the 03 Cobra has a Tremec T-56 6speed and the GT has a Tremec 5spd, the 03 cobra also has a IRS setup and the GT has a solid axle. The exhaust system is different, the computer is different, everything is different. The DOHC responds much beter to mods than a SOHC will which is why the 03 CObras are putting down such good numbers with little mods. You may not like Fords, but give respect where respect is due. It is the most powerful production Mustang EVER. Don't go off spouting that "why does Ford have to use a supercharger to keep up with the Z06" and all of that other BS. Fact is, its a smaller engine, the 4.6 VS the 5.7, and as we all know there is no replacement for displacement. Why dont people complain that Toyota had to turbocharge the Poopra? No, you never hear that, everyone just gets on their knees and opens up wide to suck on the Poopra owners ****.
If you think the 03 cobra is just a GT with a blower, go play with some of the guys on SVTP. Go look up one Nitrous Pete, he runs 9s with his Kenne Bell blown 03 Cobra, that aint no GT my friend
