proud to be here
Hey all,
Wanted to say hi from south Texas. I just recently bought a 1996 ss with 54k on the ticker and its in prestige shape. It is an amazing automobile and its completely stock. While that wasn't my original intention, I'm not sure I can mod out such a perfect car. We'll see what the future holds.
My original plan was to build a 396 stroker for my 96 vette with afr heads and custom intake, then use the lt4 parts and hotcam on the fbody I buy. As luck would have it I picked up this gem so I'm not sure yet what I'll do. Either way. I'm glad to be here... oh and the board name was from when I had a 1991 formula. I just got used to it. That's been my user name on the corvette forum for 7 years so im just gonna keep it.

Is there a way to attach pics? I haven't found it
Let see if this works

Not sure what options it has from slp. I know it has a hurst shifted. The special floor mats, and the optional exhaust. I just realized how sad it is that I know all the rpo codes and options of my vette but don't know squat about my camaro. I really don't know any of the engine specs or what it should run. I want to start some upgrades with the chassis and brakes. While stock, it feels very sloppy compared to the vette. So... I'll be looking for advice in the future about what to buy and the order of purchase.

You should have the SLP options on a sticker in the door jam. Also on the radiator shroud, IIRC.
Engine Specs are easily found online or in SLP documentation. Chassis and brakes are a great place to start. LCAs, and subframe connectors are some great first mods to help reduce wheel hop and tighten the chassis rigidity. I also have GM Durastop slotted rotors, and I'm pretty happy with them.
Hope this helps.
