thanks for the welcome, and as for the questions..
1.in the manual for my camaro it say i cant do any electrical upgrades to the car, i am wanting to put a sound system in the car but im afraid ill mess withthe computer. whats the worse that can happen?

 

My 97 has the stock system, but I've seen a lot that had aftermarket stereos. I suggest you post in the Car Audio and Electronics section. There be experts there.

 

Putting in any aftermarket sound system in your car, whether it be a new cd deck, speakers, amp, wont effect your computer one bit. You can pretty much toss the owners manual away. They're worthless. The only thing a more powerful, better sounding system does is tax your alternator and battery more, so if they're on the fritz they might go out sooner rather then later. Otherwise if everything is fine you shouldnt have any problems. FYI you will need a wiring harness and dash plate if you install a deck. Any of the big box audio stores sell these.
