New and proud LT1 owner in New Mexico
Hey guys! I just purchased a beat-up 97 Z28 convertible from a terrible, TERRIBLE previous owner. He kept it outdoors in the woods and left her alone so much, she had rat sh*t between the valve covers and intake! She's definitely a project car, but functions decently as a DD for now. I've only had her about a month, but have been having problems with the cooling system... replacing leaky hoses, busted rad cap, old 180 thermostat, etc etc... It's been fun replacing all the weather-worn rubber!
All I've done so far are a couple really cheap mods, such as TB bypass, Afterburner muffler (LOVE the sound, yes it's a cheap muffler lol), and a K&N CAI.
Thinking of headers and a few other things soon, but I can discuss that in the appropriate thread lol.
I don't have a lot of experience with performance mods or car repair, but I'm fairly competent and am able to install bolt-on mods without problems if given decent instructions lol. Lookin forward to some good discussions with you all

Sounds like she's fallen into the right hands, those that will rescue her and make her better. Welcome to the board, ALWAYS nice to see a fellow LT1 owner come on. Iron block 4 life
