Thanks for the add to camaroZ28.com. Current member of NastyZ28.com. Also an original and current member of Camaro5.com. Been driving Fbody's since 1974. Have owned or still own gen1, 2, 3 and gen 5. Just sold my 1971 Z28 restomod and am looking to get a gen 4 car, looks like a 1996 WS6 T/A may be the one. Attached is the 1996 WS6 T/A I may own this Saturday. Also own a 2018 Harley Ultra Limited, been riding Harley's since 1979. Also own a 2010 Camaro SS/RS I bought new on 6/17/2009 and will keep for life.
Well, still looking for the right car. Spent all day Saturday on a 620 mile round trip hauling my trailer only to find the seller (a pastor no less), to be nice, "totally misrepresented car". Made a fair offer which was several thousand less then he wanted. He'll have it for some time as it needs a lot, not the cream puff he thinks it is.
Hopefully some will chime in with advice. I am looking at a 1997 Camaro SS, SLP, auto, leather, T tops, 45K miles. Immaculate condition. Wondering what a fair price for it would be. One downside is it appears to have a base (non Bose) AC Delco am/fm/cassette unit in it, was wondering if it was a plug and play (if radio is unlocked) with a AC Delco (non Bose) am/fm/CD unit. Thanks in advance.
Here is what I am looking at. 1997 Camaro SS, SLP, auto, leather, T tops, 45K miles, truly outstanding condition body, paint and interior. A few small issues, missing passenger side sun visor, no T Top bags, clip missing from passenger side of air box and the check engine light is on with code P0141, bank 1 position 2. O2 sensor has been replaced with an aftermarket sensor but light remains on so it could be a wiring issue or installing a genuine GM O2 sensor may fix the problem.

Reason: add info
KBB for a car in perfect condition ranges from 6,900-8900.
The way things are now I'd buy several at $7k to $9k. Only cars a I've seen at those prices are very high miles and generally whipped. Owner of car I posted is looking for several thousand more. Personally I think 4th gens have somewhat gotten ahead of themselves in pricing, especially the Firebirds. We'll see how it all works out.
We'll, finally a 4th gen F Body owner. Purchased the car in pictures a few posts above. I've now have owned (gen 1, 2 & 3) and still own (gen 4 &5). Need to track down a passenger side sun visor in dark gray/charcoal, T Top shades and covers and spring clip for the air box. Will spend the next couple of months going through the car to ensure it will be reliable. If all goes well it will be my ride for this year's Hot Rod Power Tour long haul. Will be my third HRPT long haul, having done the long haul in 2018 & 2019, all in different Camaro's.
