Thanks for the welcome. I’m a 65 yr. old retiree that has a 1991 Camaro Z28. I ordered it in January 1990 after they couldn’t get any more IROC’s because GM lost the franchise and so they decide to resurrect the Z28. I ordered it site unseen and only had the knowledge that it had no graphics and a wing on the rear deck. I took delivery in July 1990 of a white with gray interior (They were only available in white, black or red at that time), 5.0L 5 speed and have had it ever since. I keep covered up in a garage in at our Central Florida home It has only 12K on the clock and hope to attend local car shows and cruises with itduring the year.
I do have one question that maybe you could answer. I have a noisy air pump that sound like a bad bearing that appeared right after I had the car transported down from S .Jersey and hear that can you remove the pump from the car by rerouting the sepsentine belt with a longer (96.8”) serpentine belt. Any validity to that theory? THANKS.

Wow, very cool first/only owner story.

The only concern I would imagine with re-routing the belt is that you wont get as much wrap-around on some of the pullys. Unless your worried about building the car; which i expect you arent, I would just replace the pump.
