Happy owner of the 1987 Camaro Iroc Z28 5speed 5.0 litre machine. I love this car. recently replaced original clutch plate and am having problems with getting into 1st gear and reverse. can anyone help and tell me how to syncronice the on board computer. Iv'e gotten myelf into a mess with this. thanks

I'm pretty sure the problem is mechanical. The shifting is not controlled by the ECM (computer).

Welcome to the site! Sounds like a mechanical issue to me. I raced at Carlesbad a few times and am still quoted on their final tribute web page. Love the area and the people.
