New from Maryland

I've been a lurker for awhile and finally decided to join. Last winter I bought a 98 Z28 from a customer. It has a 6.0l with front mount turbo using truck manifolds, turbo 400 and Strange 12 bolt with 4.10 gears and spool. BMR torque arm, Spahn rear lower control arms and QA1's all the way around. It had a 6 point rollbar when I bought it and I had the door bars redone so I can get my old back in and out of it. It made 522hp and 627 lbs-ft at the wheels on pump gas @ only 10psi.

Here's a video when we were dyno tuning it over the summer.

Welcome to the club! Great looking and sounding car, look forward to seeing pictures and more videos of it and possibly even a build thread.

Re: New from Maryland

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Here's what I know about the car.

6.0l iron block .005 over with stock crank
SLP L92 heads
Comp Camshaft (unknown specs)
Truck manifolds and 76mm turbo
3" exhaust no cats, no muffler
Turbo 400 trans with transbrake and Precision Industries Vigilante converter
Turbo action shifter
Strange 12 bolt with spool and 4.10 gears
Strange rear brakes
Polished Corvette Wheels 17x9.5 and 18x10.5
Mickey Thompson 305/35 18 ET Streets
AEM Meth Injection
340lph intank pump
80lbs injectors
Line Lock
BMR Torque arm
Spohn rear control arms and panhard bar
QA1 coil overs on front and 12 way adjustable on rear

I replaced the headlights with new OEM style replacements.

This is how the rollbar was when I bought it. I had the door bar cut out (it only had one on the drivers side) and redone but haven't taken a picture of them yet.

Re: New from Maryland

Technically, NHRA roll bar specs only require a door bar on the driver's side. It does have to pass the driver's arm between the shoulder and the elbow.
