New Guy: Joliet IL

Hello Guys. Name is Terry

Joined for ****s and giggles after picking up my 3rd F-Body. Like every other swinging dick I was a mechanic for several years and I spent my time in the electrical industry now (more money). In my free time I am a fabricator, still building cars and Bikes. Only thing I don't touch is paint and that's prolly going to change this winter. I am one of those guys who just doesn't know when to stop or leave something alone.

Here are the toys.

97 Z28. As much as I hate to admit it....its a project i dont want but I am starting. I think its to make up for the last one i never finished (94 Z28 LT4 charged Auto)

1969 Mopar I recently finished the restoration on. Only thing i didnt do was the paint and machining on the block/crank.

I have almost a thousand pictures of all the work but I wont bore you with a Chrysler!

The Eclipse and Harley are both projects I did years ago. The Harley is a actual HD I cut and chopped. Hardtail conversion ect. The Softail i bought so my Father could ride with me, no plans for that yet. The Eclipse is a Built 420A (Neon Motor) car that I run with a Megasquirt.....And a Snail. Puts 350 to the ground so its not a bad work car!

I do all my own welding and metal work. I dont rely one anyone, easier (and Cheaper) that way. There isnt much I cant do and I enjoy most everything especially a challenge when someone says you cant do it.

Plans for the Z are simple. I am a stickler about body condition so until the body is near perfect I will be doing that. Gonna stick with my original plans from the last car. Real nice suspension that will give me the grip I want on the road. Prolly pull the trans eventually and yank it apart for a nice strong build. Motor only has 40k on it so I will let that ride for a year maybe then yank it. Right now the paint isnt awesome so I am not happy and the seats I want to replace with new leather.

If you would like more pictures....let me know.

When you cant find me in the garage.........look up in the air!

There are only 2 things in Joliet, Ill. A refinery & a prison. I've been to the refinery.

Ah.....No. both race tracks are there. 3 or 4 different chassis dyno's and 2 engine dyno's.

And there's Winners Circle!
