Hey guys,
Well I am the typical female who doesn't know a whole lot about cars but I own a 98 camaro and having some issues and thought this site might help me out. Well, here we go...I've put coolant in, and continues to run very hot very quick. When I pop the hood, I hear like a sizzling sound and sometimes there's steam. Also it's looking like my coolant is leaking and just sitting on top of the engine...any idea what this could be?!? Anything helps, thank you in advance!! 😃😃

 

Which engine does your Camaro have - LS1 V8, or 3.8L V6?

The 3.8L V6 is known for leaking intake manifold gaskets. Additionally, there is a plastic coolant elbow that is near the serpentine belt tensioner assembly that can cause leaks.
