help a newbie
Do I want a throttle body spacer to go with my cai? Also do I want to use a heat shield or is that worth the effort? As far as mufflers go I looked into sweet thunder but didn't see any for a 94 camaro. I did find a brand called hooker aerochamber that was highly recommended. If I were to go with those what else would i want besides the muffler itself. Also I read that the mufflers can affect power and performance. Is that true?

Is your Camaro the Z28 with the LT1 V8, or a base model with the 3.4L V6?
In general, there is nothing to be gained with a throttle body spacer on the LT1. That's why no one makes them.
Best thing to do is set up a "Signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major modifications. Then post your tech questions in the corresponding tech forum.

Welcome to the board. On my '94 I gained power and gas mileage with headers. When I added a cat back exhaust I gained a nice sound but no measurable change in performance or efficiency.
