Good evening all. Been lurking here for a couple months and finally decided to register. I'm the second owner of a 1995 Z28 Camaro. I have a long history with her. Bought her in September 1996. Thru the years I've changed two optiis and wire/plug sets, performed brake repairs, other repairs and maintenance jobs I barely remember anymore. In 2009 she failed the smog test and I just about gave up on her. She rotted away for nearly two years parked in my car port. People started leaving notes on her offering to buy her. February 2011, I decided to get her back on the roads and finally passed smog tests. A few weeks after passing smog, the original factory radiator finally cracked. I replaced it along with ALL cooling system hoses and the heater core. Upgraded the front and rear suspension, sold the old salad shooter wheels and replaced them with Camaro SS wheels with new tires. The original factory fuel pump finally died in April. I did the trap door mod to access and replace the fuel pump. Finally, today I picked her up from the paint shop after patiently waiting for three weeks. 155k miles total with only one small oil leak from the oil level sensor, still running very strong and smooth and now looks better than new. She's retired from daily driving and only driven on weekends and "occasions". Within a year or two I'd like to have her powered by a 383 stroker. We'll see.
