Howdy ladies and gentlemen, thank you for all the good info. I just bought a 02 z/28 and it has a cross bar with the letters SLP embossed on it in the engine compartment. I tried a search but no luck. What is the bar? It is about 1 inch in diameter and a bolt holds it in place on each end. I can't see any useful purpose for it!

The above is a strut tower brace. It adds rigidity to the front of chassis, which improves turn-in response for better handling.

Yes sir, that's it. How is that supposed to function and why is it needed. You would think that Chev would have taken that into consideration. What kind of cost is involved in this mod?
