Back after a 9 year hiatus
Back after a 9 year hiatus
Hey all, I was a long time member but haven't logged on since about 2011
I haven't been around posting since I got rid of my LS1 Trans Am some time before that so it's definitely been awhile. I know I'm not technically a new member but since I haven't been on in years I might as well reintroduce myself!
I'm still hanging around in Macon, Georgia. I just recently purchased a 5th Gen Camaro, a 2011 1SS to be exact. It's got the usual bolt-ons; long tube headers, cold air intake, exhaust, and a tune. I haven't run it at the track yet but I'm looking forward to taking it out this Spring.
It's good to be back!
EDIT: Just realized my post count got changed down to 57, I know I used to post A LOT more than that! I guess all those old ones got deleted after so long.

Re: Back after a 9 year hiatus
Not a lot of us though - mainly a few diehard 4th Gen LT1 owners, helping out newbies. One other moderator with an LS1. Nobody comes here for the 5th or 6th Gens. Probably because those forums have never been set up correctly. Since Chris and Jason sold the site, it's been drifting. The “Administrator” hasn’t signed in to the site in over 26 months. There are days when there are no new posts.
Internet Brands, the current owners are easy to work with. If you have some good ideas on how to organize/improve the 5th Gen section, I'll see what IB can do.

Thanks Injuneer. Good to see you're still around helping out. I remember you being a wealth of knowledge back when I had my old LT1. Sadly, it's long gone now. Had a 2000 Trans Am for a little while and it's gone too. It's sad to see some of the old guard is gone. I Guess everyone moves on. I still like the setup and feel of this site over the other gen5 sites though. That sounds great, I'll see if I can come up with anything.
Re: Back after a 9 year hiatus
Sadly it seems like FB has taken over much of the traffic that forums used to host. I join LT1 Nation and FBody nation as another method of selling parts, which has a fair amount of traffic. I still like forums better, and I don’t miss the trolls I see on FB.
