Another new Formula owner
Hey Everyone,
I was referred to this site by "Redbird" on Fordvschevy.com. I'm a lifelong car nut. My main interest/knowledge leans towards fords but I love all American muscle. I've owned quite a few classic pontiacs, chevys. dodges and even AMC's over the years. However, my main reason for joining this site is because of my new project/soon to be daily-driver. It's a 1995 Formula firebird. I wasn't seeking this car out. It sort of found me. The main reason I bought it is because the car is exactly how I would have ordered it from the factory if I'd walked into the showroom back in 1995. She has the LT-1/6-speed drivetrain. Black with gray interior and T-tops. It already had a few mods when I picked it up : Borla exhaust, subframe conectors,Hurst, K&N, msd wires, lift off fiberglass ram air hood. It has a dented rear quarter panel so it's going to my friends shop for a repair, then I'll paint it and start driving it. I've only driven it around my neighborhood so far (not registered yet) and I can't wait to drive it for real and take it to the local cruise night. This is the first LT-1 car I've ever owned and knew practically nothing about the ins and outs of these motors until I joined this site. The LT-1 tech section is priceless! I'm rapidly learning about these cars just from reviewing previous posts. So big thanks to all the knowledgeable contributors to this site.
