Selling my truck...'96 STX Ford Ranger
It's a 96 Ford Ranger STX LONG BED standard cab, 4.0L V6, 5spd, Black-Grey 60/40, 4X4-manual Transfer/hubs. PS, PB, 4W ABS, Sliding Rear, Bed Liner, Cruise, Leather steering wheel and a 20 Gallon fuel tank. I have done most of the general maintaince in the last year since I have owned it. Such as:
Coolant/Hoses/thermostat
EGR Valve, Fuel Filter, Shocks(Replaced with Bilstein), Tires(Pirelli Scorpion ST's, Fuel Filter, Air Filter(replaced with K&N), Fluids(Rear end has Royal Purple and Tranny has Valvoline Max Life DexIII. I have not changed the transfer or the front diff.
It also has a standard AM/FM Cassette and a trailer hitch. It has a ding in the lower section of the bed and a small ding in the roof in the back. The paint is decent and looks good polished(I used Zaino on it) but up close the hood is checked through the clear. Overall it is a strong 3 condition truck. No rust at all.
Truck does not have AC however. It runs great, gets 20mpg on the highway(95% of my driving in and out of Boston everyday.) I have put on 21K miles on it in one year. No issues at all. Truck currently has 126K miles on it. I change the oil every 3K miles with Valvoline Durablend 10W30 and I use Bosch Oil Filters. It doesn't use or leak ANY oil during that 3K mile time period. 5 quarts go in and 5 come out.
Things it needs:
Winshield replaced. That will be done and it will be inspected before the end of the month(which is when it goes into the Want Advertiser)
Brakes: They are fair at best. The front rotors are warped and could possibly be orginal. I have all the parts to do the brakes. Those include: New rotors, pads, shoes, drums and hardware and fluid. It also comes with the special socket to change the front rotors on those 4WD front Ford Axles. With my work I have just not had time to do it.
I am selling because I don't need a 3rd truck. I have a 87 GMC to do basic work and I have use of 2 others if I need it. Plus since I have been trying to sell my camaro for the last 10 months and have been unsucessful, I am being forced to trade it in on a small car that gets good gas mileage as compared to the truck. So the truck is going up for sale.
It will go into the Want Ad for $4800, I will take $4500 in the condition it is in however. Or open to offers.
