Selected by IHRA...
To be the "Ride of your Life" vehicle at the Amalie IHRA Northern Nationals September 10th-12th at New England Dragway. I understand this will be advertised on a radio staion near us...
Also, final points weekend. Car isn't working. Almost tied for first place (less than one round).
Anyone know how to keep a car from dying from too much gas?

Re: Selected by IHRA...
It seems to just stall, randomly. When it stalls I have to depress the pedal to the floor to get it to start again or it just cranks and cranks like a flooded condition. Opti, opti connector, wires, plugs, ICM, coil, starter, alternator, battery, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, all check out and are all within a year of new.
All I can think of is a connector or pin to the coil or computer that is loose and sometimes vibrates in a way to cut power. The wires going to the coil itself are suspect and one of the clips is also suspect. I don't know where else to look. It does not throw any codes so I am thinking it is a coil connector. I died four times on a three mile trip last Sunday.

Well its real hard to flood a fuel injected car with factory computer.
My thinking was that it has no fuel that why the trouble starting but when you press the pedal to the floor it starts.
Fix the wires to the coil and see if that fixes it.
