For Sale:
1996 Ford Ranger STX 4X4. Standard Cab Long Bed
127K miles, 4.0L V6, 5spd. Black exterior, Grey interior. PS, 4WABS, Cruise, Tilt, Sliding, leather steering wheel. K&N Filter, bed liner, trailer hitch. Manual hubs, 60/40 bench.
Parts that have been replaced in past year since I have owned it:
Tranny:Fluid
Rear End:Fluid
EGR Valve and pipe to Exh.Manifold.
Coolant/Thermostat, Upper and lower Hoses and belt.
Tires(Pirelli Scorpion ST)
Shocks: Bilstein
Fuel Filter
(basically all general maintance)
Parts yet to be replaced but have just haven't done it yet:
Brakes: Fair at best. They need to be replaced. I have all the parts to do it. Just lacking time to do it. Front rotors and Pads, Fluid and Rear shoes/hardware/Drums. All new and ready to be installed. I even have have the special tool to do the fronts.
Body Condtion: Avg. From 20ft it looks great. Has a few dings in the bed area and a few scratches, nothing major. No rust on the frame or body, just the usual surface stuff.
Interior: Decent. could use a carpet and it looked like at one time the interior(headliner) had a leak somewhere.
It came with a standard AM/FM Cassette stereo
I change the oil every 3K miles with Bosch Filter and Valvoline Semi Synthetic 10W30. Doesn't use ANY oil between changes. Doesn't leak either. Actually since the EGR repair it runs damn well.
It gets between 18-20mpg on the highway depending on how heavy the foot is. Basically all highway miles too. I drive 60 miles round trip every day. It has a 18 or 20 gallon fuel tank also.
$4500 without brakes being done. $4700 with the brakes installed.
Bottom line, it runs good, is dependable and goes through the snow pretty good. It is a perfect winter vehicle. No more worrying about snow. Ready to sell in 2 weeks.
So if you are interested, shoot me an email. I work in Boston and I live in Taunton MA.
Thanks. Chris
