Post P&P'ed Heads?

Where in MA (I live in Framingham and go to school in AMherst...) can I get my heads done? How much do they usually cost? How much does Dean charge at NED?

Hey a buddy of mine ports heads, he does very good work and im just not saying that because he's a friend. I go to Amherst also, but I havent seen your car on campus. Ive been looking for fellow f-bodies. If your interested let me know and I will talk to him. I have a spare set of LT1 heads also so you wouldnt have to take your car apart until you put the new heads on. Like I said let me know.

I have no experience with local places but when it comes to mail order it seems GTP has the best reputation. They are also the most expensive. If you want something cheaper there is a guy (on the 4th gen f-body mailing list at least) by the name of Larry Kurek who does some decent work cheap. There has been a discussion of flow numbers vs hp on the mailing list. Larry's heads don't put up the best flow numbers, but cars with them do pretty well at the track. Something to consider if you only want to spend $800 vs $2000. GTP Stage II heads are now $2400 w/exchange.

My car isn't here yet but it will be soon......I gotta put in new header bolts and you'll see a nice bright red T/A in the purple lot by Southwest. Where you usually parked?

I dont even bring her to school with me, one year I did and some kid hit my car in the parking lot, of course they just drove away so I got stuck with the bill. So after that I said **** it, college kids just dont have any respect for cars like ours. I'll look for your car though, I live in Sylvan by northeast. Once march rolls around im sure you'll "hear" me around campus Good luck with the header bolt install getting those things in there is the biggest pain, it was hard enough on an LS1, i cant imagine doing it on our cars. Let me know how it goes.
