One points race left, who wants to go?

I need to go three rounds further than the fellow in first place. That means If there are four rounds, he must go out in round one and I must win the event. Basically I need a decent car count on Sunday if I have any chance at all of repeating as Street Champion. Last week we had very few cars.

Don't get me wrong, I still need a bit of luck and a good day and no hurricane, but without a decent car count I don't even have a chance. There is more info at http://www.newenglanddragway.com

This Sunday is the last day of the points season and I need some help. Anybody who wants to try their car on a decently prepped 1/4 mile track should try it out. The first time trial starts promptly at 9:00am sharp. I hope to see some of you guys there.

It's bracket racing. I have a buddy o mine who kicked my butt with a 17 second Grand Am for several years. He finished fourth in Points a couple of years ago. You have as good a chance at winning on any given day as I do.

You guys will have to carry on without me Ted. Seems after 300 runs my crank decided that was my limit, LOL. Just means the class motor gets sped up and I get to go play with the big dogs in NHRA now .
Of course you guys will still have to put up with me on open weekends next season . It would figure that I finally qualify for the bracket finals and the motor over rules me. Hopefully it'll be another 15 years til I pop another one; guess I was a bit overdue but it could've waited a few more weekends.

That is really bad luck. You could always run a rental... The experience of going and being part of a team far outweighs what class or how fast you can go. As long as you qualify you can run any class out there like Steve George did last year, he qualified in Mod but ran in Street. I have an outside chance of qualifying in Mod (currently 18th), but the Street Championship is what I want.

Just to qualify is tough enough. I am very lucky to have been to several of these events so far. It is why I run points. I just love the finals.
