New England Dyno Tune

How is this place? I've read in a couple forums that people have picked up 15-20rwhp just by having their stock cars dyno tuned, by adjusting A/F ratio, timing, etc. Whats your opinion on this, and how much do they generally charge for a dyno tune?

Great guys and a great facility. You can probably find rates on their website or just call and ask: http://www.nedyno.com

Do you think I could gain any HP from it?

What are your goals for the car?

Street cruiser?
Low rider?
Weekends at the drag strip?
Autocross?

There are many ways to improve power and throttle response. It depends what you are looking for. Certainly a decent tune can only help. You should call NE Dyno and ask them. They are straight up guys and won't fill you full of BS.

Looking for a mix of street/strip. I'll give them a call, thanks for the input.

Re: New England Dyno Tune

For street/strip, if you have an automatic a higher stall converter and transmission cooler will provide more low end torque. You will want some drag radials to assist with traction and some lightweight rims to go with them to reduce weight. 15" is a good size rim for the track with a taller sidewall tire to provide more flex at the launch.

Headers and a cat back exhaust are always good bets to improve gas mileage and horsepower.

These are very basic things that can make your car more fun to drive and your action at the track less frustrating.

I didn't have them tune my car but they are great guys up there. I had my car dyno'd there and dean and rob are great guys. And they are very competitive in their pricing for dyno time and tuning as other shops in the area.
