Lately NED has been going under many track improvements, some on the track, some in the pits, some in other places. This off-season a good portion or the asphault racing surface, and a 1700 foot long drainage piping system was installed on each side of the track, Also new burnout pads are being installed. Due to the increasing number of competitors over the years, the burnout area has taken quite a beating from all those smokey burnouts everyone likes to do. Another new feature at New England Dragway is to the new pit area just finished this past summer. A new access road to that area is in the process of being built. Being noticed during the 2004 N. American Nationals there was some major traffic in the pit area so, in order to eliminate that a new access road is being added. More details on the NED web site NED News
