Line Lock installed for Summer Nats...need brake bleed info though
I've almost got my car ready for the Nationals now.. Just hoping I get my fan switch today so I can install that and then bleed my brakes.. then I'll be ready for the nats!
Course I'm having surgery on my leg on Thursday... SO I might have to wait till Friday to do the burnouts... but I figure it's worth the pain so if I'm walking Thursday night I'll be downtown roastin up the tires on the Firehawk.. Hopefully till they pop but that might have to wait till a 2nd night of burning.. there's lots of meat on those tires still.
Now I've heard about 101 different things now... So someone please clear this up for me
Seeing I only removed the one line is that the only line I need to bleed ? (Meaning the RF line that the solenoid was installed on)
Or do all the different channels cross and mingle with each other within the ABS unit which would need all 4 break lines to be bled.
If that's the case... what's the proper order for follow when bleeding all 4 I've heard different orders starting with the LR, RR, LF then RF and I've heard the RR then LR then LF then RF....
So pretty much I've got a sponge for brakes right now and no idea which way to go about it.
Thanks
Jason

Get yourself a minivac pump brake bleeder from Autozone. They are around $25.
You would ussually just have to bleed the front pass side, then driver side.It tales all of 5 minutes with the pump. But since you pressed the peddle it might be harder to bleed the system, meaning all 4 brakes need to be bled.

Slowhawk,
Thanks I'll have to bleed all 4 tonight then I guess... You know if there's any specific order?
You still sprayin?

Summer Nationals are by day.. A hell of a car show up at Green Hill Park in worcester where approximately 5000 cars came last year. At night there are burnouts in the tunnel downtown. Not to mention beer, bands, and a good old fashioned fun time.
Come down check it out... get there early to get a good spot up on the wall at night...
Oh ya.. all the classics usually rumble through with open headers

As for bleeding order....for my car anyways, (I'm not sure about you guys with the ABS, but it should still be the same).
Always start with the wheel FARTHEST away from the master cylinder, so I would do Passenger rear....then drivers rear. Once those are bled, go bleed the passenger front...then the left front finally.
And you should be all set I think
