Post I stopped by 'Ed's' in Westfield today,

but unfortunately I did not get there 'til 4pm and he wasn't there. I am going to go back Monday to talk to him. I drive by there all of the time and just never realized he was back there. How busy is he generally? Is he a one man operation? How far in advance do you book with him to have work done?

I did see Andre's car and I gotta say that hood looks awesome. Compliments the car very well. Are those wheels 17.95 all around or were those 17x11s in the rear?

There was also a green LT1 SS, anyone know whose that is? What's it in for? Looked like the hood was ajar.

I like those wheels

I hope to do the same thing this summer. Any complaints about 'em?

>Yes don't go with their lug nut package get your own I would go with the Gorilla or another high quality company ... mine started to rust (even chrome plated)just from the install . And don't hit curbs ... they are not very forgiving .
The Dunlop SP8000 are excellant tires .

Thumbs up

Well, got my springs (Hotchkis) installed the other day. Ed rocks! He (and Jeremy) did a great job. Highly recommend. He mentioned being able to do custom subframes, so I may sell my SLPs and have him do those too, or maybe even 3.73s. So many mods, so little $$$. His labor rates are fantastic. I am surprised he is able to operate w/ them so low. I had sat on those springs for 2 years, because no one local was willing to do the install because I did not buy from them and places like Midas wanted $400 to do the install. Thanks to 9SECONDLX and bowtiepwr for the info about Ed's place.

So, fwiw, re: the springs, what a difference, aesthetically as well as ride feel. I had thought they would stiffen the car up to the point of making it uncomfortable, but was surprised that the car rides better than it did stock. I have lost some of the rattles and don't feel half as many of the bumps. Visually, imo, it looks awesome , in hindsight I probably should have gone with the Eibach Pro-kit which offers a an additional .5" of drop, but then again, I am driving the roads of New England and they hothckis springs may still settle a little more with time.

andre, thnx for the offer, but i think that may be a little too much gear for me. i am going to ask around, to see the pros/cons of 3.73s vs 4.10s.

His labor rate was $45/hr and it took about 4.5 hours. 413-562-6969 Query for East Mountain Road, Westfield on mapblast for times/distance.
