Help! Need mechanic!!!

OK bottom line is a friend and myself tried the header install before we were ready and now my car is messed up and I need a mechanic. Where around Framingham can I find someone good who can fix my exhaust leak? I think the leak is at the block and I might've burnt some plug wires. For him to take off the headers, put on a new gasket and put the headers back on what will it cost? Thanks

headers are a b!tch on LT1s, so expect to pay between 250 and 500 for labor. at $50/hr your job sounds like several hrs worth of un-doing and re-working to get things straight.

good luck.

Does this mechanic work on new cars? I know a guy in Natick (I think) but only works on older cars and I went to him and gave him $100 for pretty much nothing....Look into that for me and get back to me. Thanks.

Anyone else know of mechanics?

A mechanic you ask?

Yep, I sure do.

Call "MAX AUTO SERVICES"

508-376-6290

Sam Maxwell is the owner and he is a one man show. He is a personal friend of mine and just about the best mechanic you will ever find. He does all my work and I wouldn't go anywhere else. He tore my 93 Z apart many times before (including headers plugs and wires) and is quite familiar with them thanks to me. He does all my work and I've never had a problem. He is 100% honest and fairly priced as well. Just give him a call and tell him Joe Crehan sent you.

His shop is located at the following address...

30 Farm St.
Millis MA 02054

Take care,
Joe

its hard to say with out seeing the car.

ed gets $45 an hour. depending what headers you have. he just might have to undo the bolts slide the gasket out and slide another one in. so you might not have to take the headers back out.

call him and ask for an estimate.

Cool

My guy is about $55/hr. He is also a heck of a lot closer. It's up to you. Give him a call and see what he has to say. Good luck!

Weekends

Unfortunately no. He used to be open for half a day on Sat but not anymore. I know it's a bit of an inconvenience but you can drop your car off after hours and drop your keys through the slot. Then you can just pick it up the next day when it's done.
