Talking Dyno'd again

Actually, only part of my car was dyno'd......the Transmission !!

After my shakedown runs at the track and my trip to NEDT to dyno the 94 I dropped the tranny (getting good at it, only takes about 2 beers now )

Anyway, I sent the t/c back to Precision Industries to get it tightened up and apparently the t/c didn't care too much for the Uncle Marc / New England Dyno horsepower as the pump fins were laid over and the clutches were burnt. Well, I must give props to the people over at Precision Industries as the converter was out of warrenty (took too long getting bent over by Quest to fit into the 2 year warrenty period) but they took care of me and I got a new 5 disc t/c for what they were going to charge me to re-adjust the stall.

So afther they told me the converter was fubared I called SRA Transmission and discussed it with Buddy, he told me to drop the pan and check for debris, if no debris then throw a filter on it and call it a day.........well after dropping the pan and taking a look at the bottom of the inside of the pan it kinda reminded me of when I blew up the motor but instead of a chocolate metallic look it had a dark crimson metallic look to it so off to Rhode Island I went.

I dropped it off last Wednesday night and he had to completely strip it as it was full of metal everywhere and he put new cluthes / bands etc.... and called me on Tuesday and said it was done and he dyno tested it on his tranny dyno and it was good to go.

Well, last night I took the road trip down to SRA to pick it up and tonight it goes back in

I definately recommend dealing with SRA Transmission

I'm on vacation next week so it looks like it will be another 10 days or so before I get back to the track.

Marc
P.S. Have I mentioned that Quest Racing sucks lately

Well Marc looks like you lucked out.

The Quest thing is getting kinda old dude, plus your car was down at Buddy's longer than it was at Quest, so technically you can't say its there fault the torque converter was out of warranty.
Just leave the quest sucks in your sig and forget about it move on! Don't hold on to the negative be positive

Uncle Bob,
Technically you are correct except for the small matter that my car was running when it left SRA vs. being towed outa Quest.

I try to play nice but was kicked outa the sandbox one too many times as a youngster

I'm booked for a track rental on the 28th and I'm looking forward to coming back down to NEDT and throwing it on the rollers again (this time without the cats) and seeing what it can do.

Anyone else want to join me for a track rental on the 28th

Marc

Let's see a picture of you doing a nice burn in it

How much did it cost?

What is the purpose of it?

Will it fit where the T-tops go?
