Was driving my truck on I-90 yesterday out here in W.Mass where they are repaving (@ night) the eastbound lane (between exits 3 & 4). A car passed me in the left lane where there is loose traprock between the lanes and it kicked up some material nicking my hood paint in 3 places, nicking my windshield in two and sending up a piece that put a 6" crack in the windshield in line with my rearview mirror, just above the dash. I plan on contacting my insurance company tommorrow. How does it work? Will they wait for the crack to get larger before replacing? Will I have get my truck inspected again if/when I get the new windshield? Can they transfer the sticker?

 

Ive always just gone to a glass company they just replace it and send the bill to the insurance company. The sticker they transfer over.
