met Rich in worcester (great guy) picked up the headers and they were in pretty good shape so props to Rich and nice car by the way!! so these will be going on this week after my visit with my daughter this weekend so stage one is almost complete in my list of stages. maybe I'll be the first in the area to convert 94 exhaust specs to 97!! Although you would think spending 749.50 new for headers would give you a tad bit more then 28.4 horsepower!!! used ported heads for that price would net you close to 70 if done right. ANYWAYS your dad has a Z06 Brad?? Must be nice to have all those toys at your disposal huh? I like the ZO6. It's a strong balance of road feel and power for the price. I just might bring my orange pumpkin up here so I don't feel so bad losing in my stock Z!! Straightaways my pumpkin is a killer.....take a corner and forget it since she has air shocks I'll spin the rear!!! So I might see you guys at the next NED-Day but don't expect me to dyno!! Not until I stab the bumpstick in her and clean up the stock heads for 2.00 1.55.

Thanks guys. We LT1 owners have to stick together ... we're a dying breed.
Gary, glad the headers passed qc. Good luck with that install. Hope you bring that clean green machine to NEDyno next Sat.

Brian, I'll make sure the laptop is fully charged.

See you guys on Sat.

I'll be making the journey to ned-day of course yes camaro owners are a dying breed everyone is going to imports for some unknown apparent reason. I had 2 imports in my ife but nothing truly beats cubic inches am I wrong? I think I'll buy both cams first I want to grab Rich's; then I'll grab the comp cam in the same 2 weeks and try them both. One thing that kills me is I thought I finnally found a performance shop (Indy) in Danvers but turns out they almost double the price of summit or jegs yet they advertise that their prices are similar!! For an example proform 1.6 rollers thru pace---83.00---thru them145.00!!!! AFR heads thru them is 250.00 more then most shops. I asked the guy to do better on the price and he said that's the best they can do so I said lowr the price and gain a customer. They said can't do it, So lose a customer to make a quick buck? How retarded is that? I told the guy my business walks too bad for them I might have threw down some duckets there. Rich, I will be checking out Golens this week as well for a 383 shortie since my attorney gave me some good news and I spoke with Merlin again and the conversion is not very cost effective for the 427 I only want a maximum of 600 ponies and torque as well. Believe me guys any more then that for the street is overkill and you will get sick of driving it around. My orange pumpkin is living proof and my 69. It sucks after a while to ALWAYS feather the gas just to go red light to red light . Some will say "It depends on the driver"..That's a lie told by 4 cylinder car owners!! ANYHOW Big props to all you guys for holding down the Z28 Fort and I will be shooting down to the NED-day to see how far people have gone in this addiction!!!

Yeah we lt1 owners do hafta stick together......do you guys get your ***** broken as much as i do cuz of the lt1? Oh well hopefully my car will be a little quicker soon. I think after i put that NOYZEE racing sticker on my car it slowed it down And the silver bullet is no joke that car is insane and neither is scotty wheels.

I can get parts CHEAP!! talk to me!!

As for red95, the sticker slowed you down because your car is soooo weak it cant take the weight of a little sticker!!! Nice LCA's by the way!!!

rich, got the o2 sensor out since mine is not the same but I've developed the infamous LT1 misfire AGAIN!!! definitely not coming from the plugs this time PITA!!! I was going to remove everything today but the stupid new england weather has stopped me again since trying to remove headers in the rain is no picnic...

Well by myself I started the header install at 9:00am and did not finish until 6:30pm!! what an incredible PITA!! It seemed like nothing wanted to line up then I kept dropping bolts e.t.c But the car is MUCH louder now and I got rid of the misfire. turns out they gapped my plugs at 45 when I had them done but plug access now is a lot easier to do with the MAC's. I never want to put headers on again for a LONG time considering it beat the crap out of me. I couldn't reuse my y-pipe so I had to go with the dual cats so today or tomorrow I will be bringing it to a shop to weld the piece in since my flowmaster single cat needs to be cut and attached to the pipe. Props Rich!

OK here is my observation of th edifferrence with the headers (MAC) installed
1. better plug access is number one!
2. Made my flowmaster more deep and it is not that loud anymore.
3. Awful ticking coming from the drivers side.
4. Lost some low end torque but made up for it around 4200RPM's
5. Engine compartment is now a lot hotter.
6. Must install LT4 Knock module due to a feeling I am getting retard from the noisier headers.
7. Car mirrors and interior rattles at 1500RPM's
8. No popping or backfiring whatsoever!!!

So all in all it was worth it to be walking around today sore as hell from 12 hours of install and burning the number 8 plug on the header a few minutes ago it was a royal pain and recommend a shop next time around. Now for the cam and loudmouth exhaust and I will be one happy camper!!

Hey Gary. Glad the install was relatively painless. Did you use hi temp paint on those puppies before install? I remember noticing alot of heat in the engine compartment after the install cuz they aren't coated. See you on Sat.

So how did everyone do? I did not want to go because I haven't fixed the exhaust leak yet so I went out and bought thicker gaskets. The ticking is so loud I think I'm getting serious spark knock so I dare not drive it till its fxed. Hey NOYZEE on my way home friday some A$$ in an M3 beemer cut me off 128 so I ran up to him and forced him off the road and he ended up being some fat jerk who was too scared to get out of his car plus margueritas have a sneak up effect!!
