Well I finally got a real engineering job.... only problem is I don't have a car. I've been stuck borrowing my gf's and family members cars to get to and from work. I'm pretty short on cash, looking to spend around 2 grand for the car. Not looking for anything in particular, just something decent that will get me around and has A/C.

I've been looking at some auction websites in NH www.interstateautoauction.com and another one i can't find right now. Has anyone gone to one of these before? Or better yet, has anyone gotten a decent car there for cheap?
I also don't really feel like hassling with used car dealerships so I thought this might be a good alternative, any input is appreciated.

As most of you know I'm pretty mechanically inclined so I'm not worried about fixing stupid little things, I just don't feel like putting a ton of cash into a car I just bought.

 

Random question... are you working in wilmington by any chance?

 

call the police, they can give you an idea when an auction is going to take place..sometimes old patrol cars. some require lic. some dont. you can pic up a nice used police crown vic for cheap $$$

I know of 2 separate places that do weekly auctions so I have been checking those pretty regularly.

 

o my fathers shop is in wilmington, and he was saying how they got a new guy and i think he said his name was Jay. But i dont think its you. His shop is on Main St
