79 Malibu for sale. Speed parts galore. LOOK!!
FOR SALE: 1979 Chevy Malibu. I am selling this for parts or repair as it is not drivable at the moment. Has GM crate motor with less than 15K miles on it. The engine is basically a ZZ430 clone. This vehicle is FULL of low mileage high performance goodies. I will list them…
GM ZZ4 short block
GM Aluminum FASTBURN heads with CRANE Gold Race roller rockers
HOTCAM
EDELBROCK Performer RPM Vortec Intake
EDELBROCK 600CFM electric choke carb.
HEI billet distributor with 50K volt coil
MSD 6AL Ignition box
Heavy Duty radiator
Tranny Cooler
Ceramic coated Headers (will need to be replaced eventually)
700R4 Tranny (needs a rebuild but does work, think it blew a servo)

Built 10 bolt rear as follows…
EATON Heavy duty 28 spline posi
RICHMOND 3.73 gears
Aluminum diff support cover
28 spline axles out of a Grand National
HOTCHKIS front and rear sway bars
South Side Machine upper control arms and boxed stock lowers
Traction bars.
The interior consists of bucket seats (stained and slightly torn)
Center console (new lid, not broken) with B&M QUICKSILVER shifter.
AUTOMETER monster memory tach with shift light
GRANT GT steering wheel
Car comes with other brand new uninstalled goodies as well. I have a new 2.5" dual exhaust pipe kit. Autometer mini triple gauge console. New roll of headliner material (present one sags). Tilt steering column. Edelbrock carb tuning kit. GM chrome valve cover breather. I'm sure there is more stuff laying around as well.
The car currently has aged stock 14" rally's with good BFG rubber. Center caps come with them although they are not shown in photo.
Has current inspection sticker and is registered. Engine runs good and strong. There is some rust through behind both rear wheels on the body, not too bad though. The frame rails over the rear wheels are clean and were expertly repaired/replaced. All parts listed are brand new within the past 4 years unless otherwise noted. I have most receipts but not all. It blew a brake line a few weeks ago and I'm really not interested in fixing it along with the tranny. I recently bought a mustang and that is my new venture. The Malibu is a goldmine of speed parts for your current project. You either have the option to part it out for more cash or fix and drive. All it needs to be drivable is a repaired brake line.
VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS!!! I'm not really interested in parting it out either, everything comes as a package. I have described this car as honestly as possible. YOU MUST COME HAUL IT AWAY.
