Zex wet in LT1

Hey, can anyone tell me if I can use a Zex wet kit on my 96 Z28. The site its listed osays it can be used on an LT1, but every other site says the dry Zex kit is for the LT1, and the wet kit is for 3rd gen. cars. Also, what else do I need to safely run nitrous that doesn't come with the kit. (Bottle opener, heater, purge valve, etc.) Also, can anyone give me a rundown of what the "safety stuff" is. I did a search but couldn't find anything. Thanks alot, I appreciate any help.

Yes it will work on a LT1.
It would be good to buy a window switch, spark plugs, pressure gauge and heater. That will cover the bare basics. If you have the etra money I would buy a NX GEnx2.It will work with what ever system you go with. Its cheaper than buying all the accessories seperate.

Yah, it should run fine. Just make sure you get the right wet kit. (it should come with a fuel pump).
A purge is pretty much useless, more of a show thing IMO...
I have the zex remote opener, it makes things a lot easier, I can just press a button to open and close the bottle, but it's not needed.. just really makes it more convenient. The heater will help you get all you can out of every bottle, and keep pressure up, but again.. it's not needed. Plugs will deffinetly have to be changed, and a nitrous gauge will also help you out a lot... plus a pillar mounted one looks cool
For safety sake though, I'd highly recommend a window switch too! It's not needed, but I don't think it's worth risking.

How do you figure?

A purge is definately recommended. If there is air in the system the car will bog when the extra fuel hits and only meets air.

hmm.. well I've never had a bog off the line, but if that's a common problem on LT1's then yah go for it.

Doesn't just happen off the line. It will happen any time you spray if there are air in the lines. That is the main reason for a purge kit, to remove the air.
