zex nitrous mangement system unit?
zex nitrous mangement system unit?
Well guys i have no idea about nitrous but been thinking of maybe adding a kit. so i saw the zex nitrous management unit and wondered how safe it was and what else should i do to my car to make the shots safe and reliable im only lookin to do a 100 shot. just lookin for a little info thanks
Good fuel, 1 step colder plugs, a good fuel pump (if not included in the kit), blow down tube, and a Mallory 685 ignition box to retard timing, and use as a window switch. These are the basics.
Then people recommend a bottle heater, remote valve, purge, nitrous gauge.......

Since you have a cam, I would suggest having a way of retarding the timing. The Mallory 685 would be a good choice if you do not already have an ignition box. It includes a window switch which makes it a good choice.
Read the accessory sticky above for description of all the basic add ons.
Safety items:
1) window switch
2) FPSS
3) Filter
4) NHRA valve and blow down tube
These will improve consistency and performance:
1) Purge
2) Heater
3) Nitrous pressure gauge
You will also want to run Premium fuel, and run a one step colder plug, NGK TR6 or equivilent.
The Zex is a good kit and is the easiest to install as it only has 3 wires to hook up, but it is no safer than any of the other brands. The NMU is the Solenoids, Relay, and WOT activation included in one box.
We carry N.O.S, Nitrous Express, Zex, and our own brand of nitrous kits. This month we are running a special on the NX Main Line single nozzle. It gets you a complete single nozzle kit for $399.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
