ZEX kit ?'s for heads cam car
ZEX kit ?'s for heads cam car
I'm in the process of building a 355 LT1 for my car, I will be using the XE 230/236 cam and some Stage II CNC ported heads. Will the Zex kit work efficiently with this set up?
Instead of using that crap, why not use some tried and true nitrous kits, where YOU decide how the car is jetted.
NX, TNT, NOS......there are some big names to get you started. IMO, leave the ZEX for the rice boys.
That, and I like em' wet, and ZEX is a dry kit.

I know a few guys who are running the Zex kit. And yes you can change the jets on it 50-75-100-125 jets. Its also very safe. Its about identical to the Venom setup. Rice boy n20....thats funny but not true. Although its made for a ton of imports.

I know Fred (Injuneer) and many others have had our concerns with the Venom kit as well, and its reliance on the stock narrowband O2 sensors to control fuel jetting. Sorry, but I don't trust the life of my motor on a cheap sensor that was never designed to give accurate, fuel controlling readings at WOT. Remember, even the stock PCM doesn't use the O2 sensors for a/f ratio control at WOT (actually, at any power enrichment mode, approx 70% or more throttle).
So basically, GM engineers wouldn't trust them at WOT (and neither would I), but Venom "engineers" think they are just peachy to control the amount of fuel going into the motor. I'd trust the ZEX kit over the Venom kit, but if I had to run dry, I'd skip the BS and run a much more proven dry kit, such as the NOS kit. Then again, I'd rather run a wet kit anyway, so I'll just stick with my NX kit.
Well considering prices of a new NX wet kit, I think NX is the way I'm going to go. I can't beat the price, and it's probably going to be safer for my application. Thanks for the opinions.
