window not working need help ASAP

OKay i just set up my summit window switch and nos system. I have it set to 3200 ON 5900OFF. BUT at any RPM when it hits WOT it turns on.

this is the window switch (diagram at bottom of page)

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I followed the wireing off the diagrams.

Okay there is 3 grounds.

Black ground main
purple ground in window
blue ground out of window

I HAVE ALL THREE GROUNDED TO THE CHASSIS. Is this correct?

Yellow is tach signal (tapped into my autometer tach wire)

Red is output Which i tapped into the WOT and SWITCH wires.

Anywone have any ideas I am running the car at the track tomorrow morning.

ALSO for pulses what is this...it says 4 stroke set to 1/2 the number of cylenders so i set it at 4.

Thanks Jay

Im starting to think the GROUND IN AND OUT OF WINDOW wires need to be ran to the WOT? Maybe it sends a ground the wot to turn it off?

Don't use the blue wire just the purple one to complete the circuit. It looks like the window switch will work (1) to turn on something either side of the window (using the blue wire) or
(2) to turn on something inside the window setting (using the purple wire)

If you have both the blue and purple wires run to ground, that would explain why your nitrous runs anytime at WOT.

So would i run the purple wire to the wot switch with my red wire?

That depends on whether or not you are running a setup like in the pic you posted or not. How do you have the system wired up? Are you using a relay to fire the solenoids or not? to answer your questin,no you cant connect it to the red wire on the WOT switch but if you aren't running a fpss then you would connect the purple wire to the other side of the WOT switch that the red wire is connected to. The red wire FYI is just power to the box. The way the Window switch works is.... Red supplies power to the "brains" of the window switch. The window switch completes the circuit by a signal ( from your fpss or the WOT switch) to the purple wire, thru a contact that closed at the rpm yo select, to ground thru the black wire on the window switch.

I have the complete system wired like above. Ran my solinoids to 87 on the relay. Ran my ignition to the switch in the car then to the WOT. I have #30 on the realy to HOT all times. I have #86 to the WOT and I have 85 ground.

OK ,pull the ground wire off 85 and hook the purple wire to 85. You're not running a fuel pressure safety switch right?

Sorry I am not running one YES. So just run the relay ground to the purple.

That's ok, wiring is hard to understand sometimes. The Window switch box is what completes the circuit in the relay to enable the relay to energize only when rpm settings are met. You would want to remove the ground wire from 85 and put the purple wire on the 85 terminal. .If you did wire it all up like the picture, then everything else stays the same. Good Luck.

Here's my last wiring project. A Mallory 685 box with relays for nitrous, purge, and heater. I use the 2 step, high speed retard and the window switch function of th 685 box. I wired it all up so that it can be taken out of the car in about 10 minutes. I also have my dynoJet wideband O2 box tucked in under the relays.

I also have a bracket welded on so I can bolt my laptop on too. I got it all tidied up the other day. Doesn't look all that but it's functional.

THANKS SOO MUCH! I just went outside and hooked that ground up and it works!! I also moved my fuel tap into the fuel rail.

Hopefully the techs dont say anything about my setup for now.
