Will I have enough traction to use Nitrous?

Hey Guys,
I'm considering nitrous for my car (in my sig). I just got my 3.73's and I have 275/40/17 Kuhmo Ecsta Supra tires all the way around. I can barely get any traction half way through second gear. Would it even be worth it to go with nitrous. Because I'm 99.99% sure that if I throw on a 100 or 150 shot I'll just spin the tires through 3rd based on the amount of spin I get without nitrous. What kind of suspensions would you recommend to resolve this issue and would it even be worth it to spend the money on nitrous. I don't intend on doing much drag racing. Pretty much just eating people up at the light and around town.

You need some real rubbers. Those are just fake ones.

Jk, no but really if you already spin the snot of out em its just going to be worse on a 100 shot. Look into lca's and sub frame connectors. They will help out with wheel hop, stiffness, getting better "bite" with your tires.

The real issue is your rubber though. You need to move to a sticker tire for the mods above to really work. Look into kuhmo MX's, they are a sticky tire, hell they only have a 220 treadwear. There are many things that will last longer but they are priced way above them.

Really i would just get a set of nitto dr's. Dont screw around, if you take care of them you will get 10k out of them.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'll probably be holding off on the nitrous at least until the beginning of next summer. The 3.73's with the tune should be fun for the rest of the summer. If I got some other tires I would probably go with the Nitto DR's. I just bought the Ecsta Supra's so I'm going to go ahead and run them til there's nothing left on them.

I've wanted nitrous for a while because it's the most affordable mod that gives you a large performance increase.

I unfortunately exhausted most of the cheap mod options up to this point other than pretty much a stall converter. Headers and a y pipe are a little more than I can afford right now for only a 30 horse increase. I've got a severe addiction to speed, it just never seems to be fast enough. Thanks for the feedback.

what about rocker arms and a ewp?
A stall would really bring your car to life.
I would look into nitto's, you may be able to find a set used.

As for n2o, your going to want a remote bottle opener, bottle heater, window switch, fuel pressure safety switch, etc. So the 500-600 for the kit is just the tip of the iceberg.
Many people dont realize all the safety items and other little toys such as the remote bottle opener are really wanted and needed to complete their kit.

get a march crank pulley, a ele. cutout, and a hi flow cat.(magnaflow makes carsound=$60)
3 mods under 350 for a 20hp gain. The cat and crank pulley would be a solid 10 and 10 for the cutout. Maybe even more, plus you get to have the fun of opening it up all the time. Mess with people when your in traffic, at the mall. Open headers at a flip of a switch is just too much fun.

O and did i mention that its fun???

Nitrous+drag radials= have a nice day. Keep your Kuhmos for the street, swap a pair of drag radials in the back for track days.
