Why no purge??

Have my NOS system all hooked up and opened the bottle. I checked my purge noid prior to this and I hear it clicking. Anyway.... after there is pressure in the line, the noid does not open. I drain the pressure and then it works again. If I click it open then open the bottle, it will stay open and purge untill I close the noid. Then it won't open again untill I release the pressure. I even tried a new noid and that does the same thing. Any ideas??

what brand is the solenoid and what pressure are you at? if you are using a solenoid made by NOS they cannot take the same pressure as an NX....my NX purge will not open if it gets above 1200!

Bottle pressure was only at 900. I am using all NOS brand noids. I am not sure of the PN on the purge noid, but when that one wouldn't work, I switched that one for my NOS N2O noid, PN 16020, and that one did the same thing.

Ive had that problem with faulty solenoids. My solenoids would open below 700 psi , but once you go above that they wouldnt open. If you are using NOS and the solenoid is new , then you just need to contact Holley-nos and tell them they sent you a new faulty solenoid.
Trust me.

ps...the only other thing I can remotely think of is that you need to check your ground wire.

First check that it is wired ok and the ground is good. You might have a faulty noid cause my purge works fine even when bottle press is over 1000. Get a new noid and ever thing should be fine. I would try to rebuild the noid either, just get a new one. hope everything works out for ya !!
