For how long have you guys been shooting N2O in your cars. Just trying to figure out the engine life span after N2O.

 

I used nitrous on an 89 Formula 350 for 4 years and almost 90k miles on the stock shrotblock. I sprayed anywhere between 125 and 200hp. On the 200 shot it picked up over 2 seconds in the quarter! Done properly nitrous wont shorten the life of your engine any more than any other power adder. If you have any specific questions feel free to email me or call me at 417-581-1175. OOOOOOOOOOOOO..........See my specs below. I'm puting it together and considering a wet kit for it. So your saying I could shoot maybe once a month and it should be okay? I need this motor to last me.

 

what rods & pistons?

i have been spraying my car for 3 years,125-175 shot. for the first 2 years it was getting 2-3 bottles a weekend for 5-6 months out of the year,and 1-2 the rest of the weekends. no problems so far.

 

Without a doubt. I was kind of like RacinLT1, I did 2 or 3 bottles a weekend many many times and every once and a while me and some buddies would go out and go through a bottle one night during the week because we were bored! I am sure I averaged more than 75 bottles a year thorugh it. My car went to the track or to the street races every weekend if the weather cooperated. 5 years now on my 383 100-300 shot with various 2 stage setups.

Scat cast steel crank, stock polished beam rods with arp bolts, and Weisco (sp?) pistons.

 

Hate to bust in on your post S. But you guys who have been spraying for awhile, how often do you change your plugs?

 

when i went through bottles like i described,i changed em monthly.

now i change every 2 months (unless they need to be changed sooner) cause i dont spray all that much.
