Where can I get a mount platform for a 10lb bottle?
Where can I get a mount platform for a 10lb bottle?
I have seen a few pics of people with great mounting platforms/brackets in their spare tire well to mounth their bottles to, but they seem to be sold out of them. Where can I get one? Website or pics would be cool.
I myself didnt really see the need for any brackets other than what come with the kit. I used the taller bracket for the bottom mount and the short one on top, just bolted it directly to the wheel well. No probs. whatsoever. I've got a pic I could e-mail someone so they could post it if needed.
Thanks for the replies. I looked on e-bay but couldnt find anything. I wanted somthing like dayusmc has. His was made of metal bars and plates, it was painted black and looked sweet.
Does smoke T/A make the brackets?
I have my Venom bottle brackets screwed into my wheel tub. It works but I cant mount it perfectly nozzle down cause the nipple hits. Its kinda almost straight up and down with not that much angle to it. I just want it to look better.
Thanks guys,
Jeff

This is how I did it. Borrowed the design from a GAFBA article on how to do a stealth NX install.
Just bought a couple flat aluminum 1"x36"x1/8" bars at Home Depot and fabricated the bracket. The design resembles a fieldgoal post or a 'Y', where the two tops of the 'Y' screw down to the hump with sheet metal screws and the bottom of the 'Y' is bent 90 degrees at the last 2" and then bolts to a factory hole in the spare tire bracket. The three pieces are held together with a perpendicular cross-brace and rivets through the overlapping parts. The zip-ties allow minor adjustments but stop it from otherwise shifting around (since the rivets act as pivots).
Heres the picture
