Where to buy -8AN hose?

After doing some searching I really like the idea of using the braided -8AN hose and bulkhead for a blow down tube setup. I looked on Summit and Jegs online and neither had any -8AN tubing listed in a 2' length. Where do you guys buy the -8AN hose? Also is there an easy way to tell the size of the fittings whether they be -3AN, -4AN, or -6AN?

Just decide what angle you need:

Fittings

Bulkhead

Bulhead Nut

8AN Hose

Good luck!

Thanks Kurtis. I ordered the stuff and should hopefully have it tomorrow. But do I really need the fittings or can I just hook the hose directly to the bottle?

Why do I need the fittings Brook? Won't the hose connect to the bottle? Or is it a safety requirement?

You guys are correct. I guess I didn't look at the picture close enough to see that there aren't any ends on the hoses. They are outrageously priced. If I bought the ends, I was looking at $70 for a 3' hose. Whereas the NOS 3' -4AN hose with blue anodized ends was only $33.69

You're kind of comparing apples to oranges now. A #3 or #4 Hose is significantly cheaper then a #8.

Go price out a #16 90* Swivel Fitting, and you're looking at ~$40 for ONE fitting, no hose, nothing.

No one said this stuff is cheap. If you want a cheaper alternative, you can take some tubing, and get an 8AN Nut (Just like what NOS/NX Sell) and for the tubing. Should cost ya less, but it won't be the soft braided line.

I assume you realize you need to change the blowoff valve in the bottle also, to accomodate the 8AN fitting. The bottles normally come with just a standard little Cap. If ya wanna do it right, (Safe and NHRA Legal) its gonna cost ya a few bucks.

Kurtis,

I was mistaken in my earlier post. I was actually comparing the price of the NOS 6' -4AN braided stainless steel hose with blue anodized ends which was $33.69 to the 6' -4AN Earls braided hose which was $33.99 for just the hose.

My kit came with the blow down tube so it already has the adapter to the -8AN for the blowdown tube. I just now need a 2' piece of hose to go from the bottle to the bulkhead I have mounted in the bottom of the spare tire well.
