I'm guessing that the sudden application of throttle possibly caused a backfire. Even with the window switch there really isn't much you can do to prevent this except roll on the throttle instead of stabbing it, or set it to come on at 3,500 RPM like I did. I'm assuming this was with a wet kit?

What gear were you in? and what speed.?

Most all backfires are caused by logging the engine.

I was in 2nd gear and was going about 10 mph....

heres what Im thinking hanppend....once I mashed the gas and the tires just lit up...I instantly took my foot off the gas.....well, Im guessing the butterlfys opened at full throttle and then once I took my foot off the gas they closed and the NO and extra gas had nowhere to go...so I got the BIG BOOM!!!!!

seems kind of slow to hit the nitrous if ur in 2nd gear..you were probably lagging the engine..approx what RPM is that around? 2k?

There's your problem. If you really were in 2nd going 10, then your window switch didn't work correctly. There is no way you were at 3k rpm at 10 mph in 2nd gear...

Your engine must be able to "free rev" when you spray or you will continue with backfire problems...
