what does the ZEX kit do for fuel?

I saw my buddy's ZEX last night .. looked like all it did for fuel is increase fuel pressure through the stock regulator using manifold vaccum ... that seemed obsurd to me

the stock fuel pressure regulator can only make maximum of 7-10 psi difference between the two extremes of vaccum inside the plenum .. how would the ZEX box make the fuel pressure go up far enough for a 125 shot !? wouldnt u need closer to 60 psi of fuel on a stock car, stock tune to make a 125 shot work !?

it just seemed really wierd to me that it doesnt have a real FMU and it relies on engine vacuum and stock regulator to supply enough fuel for the nitrous

and its also jetted like the NX kit, so thats 125 RWHP !

The ZEX kit for the LT1 (at least the dry one that I bought) also includes an inline fuel pump.

Hey Matt, where did you pick up your ZEX kit from? I see on your site that you got it for 550 bucks, sounds like a good deal.

Hi Seth,

I got it here:

http://www.lt1f-body.racenet.net/nitrous.php

However, I can't really recommend these guys. While I got the smaller things really quickly, the actual nitrous kit itself took over a month to get to me. On top of that, I was not impressed with their customer service. I almost had to get my credit card company involved and almost cancelled the whole thing.

I have seen it online at Thunder Racing, a much better place in my opinion, for $599, which is still a great deal. Here's the link:

My mistake was not researching first where to buy it. Do a search, ask around, you'll find shops like TByrne or Thunder Racing are the better place to buy than Racenet.

Hope this helps,

Matt

I talked with thunderracing, and they told me the ZEX kit they sell is a wet kit and doesnt come with the inline fuelpump. Different kit im guessing?

Yes, definitely, I got the dry kit. Maybe do a search on Google online for a place then? Good luck!
