ok when i was spraying i heard a little back-fire or something around 5500 rpm? is that was detonation is?

Detonation sounds like someone is playing with marbles under your hood, a "pinging" sound. And if you heard it, it is too late! If you suspect detonation, then pull a couple plugs and use a light to look at the base of the porcelin, the detonation will knock off carbon and "speckle" the plug. If you see small, shiny specs, that is from the piston and is NOT GOOD!!

is this happening from 2-3 shift? That is the same problem i am having but i am in the process of shifting and the worst n20 explotion blew the shark nozzle out of the boot and all my duckting off. pretty scary. I plan to shift earlyier from 2-3 or turn off the juice when shifting the turn back on once in third gear.

I also heard detonation sounds like bee's in a can. when my motor blew all i heard was the piston skirts falling into the oil pan along with the rings. NO detonation of course it happend and i knew it. you will too.
I run race gas on the spray just to be safe.
