Wet vs. Dry?
The wet kit is usually better for most of us. The wet kit injects fuel and n20 where the dry kit injects only n2o. I personally think the nx kit is one of the best on the market, plus they have a excellent tech. line if you have any problems. I put a nx kit on my car, only a 75 shot and took off more then a second in the 1/4.
You could argue all day over which is better, dry or wet, but for my money I went with a wet kit from NX. The wet kit offers a few advantages over a dry system. The biggest is that you can tune your own system. That way, if anything goes wrong you only have yourself to blame. The whole "puddle" thing could happen, but again it would be mostly user error. To make your system run the best, and the safest I would also invest in a window switch, bottle heater, and purge system. These three items will ensure that you have a very safe and reliable experience with your N20 system. You might also want to consider an aftermarket ignition system (to retard the timing and ensure full detonation) and a fuel pump (to make sure you have enugh fuel while you're spraying), but if you're using a smaller shot (75 hp or less) it's not an absolute nessecity. I'm definitely not the authority on this, but its how I run my set up. Also, check old threads, a lot of your questions have probably been asked, and answered before.
Thanks Tom. I also purchased a NX wet kit. I have MSD 6AL, MSD coil, 8.5 wires, colder plugs gapped @ .035, window switch, Purge, heater. yadda yadda. You sound pretty knowledgable so im installing it tommorow. How long have you been running your kit. I cant wait to squeeze on the DRY KIT guy that told me all that junk trying to scare me.

Most lt1's use a wet kit and don't trigger till 25-3000 rpm. LS1'a most use a dry kit.

Well, actually I know folks running all flavors, I don't think there's an overwhelming majority either way.

Keeping this in mind, as soon as you are done running the quarter, and before you get your timeslip, throw a couple of revs to clear the intake of any excess fuel. Over at RCR where I run, I like to run on the right lane of the track, I usually just rev it right after crossing the finsih line, since I have a longer lane to slow down in.
Hope this helps.

They say that a wet kit is more effective and delivers more power than a dry kit; but from my experience, I beg to differ. However with an LT1's setup a wet kit may be the better of the two.

Actually, in Northern California, EVERYONE runs wet. It's just Southern California where they run dry only.
