Wet kit on an LT1

How hard is it to install a wet nitrous kit on an LT1? And is the wet kit really alot better than a dry kit?

If you're mechanically inclined, it's pretty easy. Heck even if you're not, it's fairly simple to do, and the kits come with instructions. It's just time consuming, that's all. Take your time and it'll be fine. I did my first kit in about 3-4 hrs.

And yes, a WET kit is much more efficient, thus "better" IMO. Everyone here will give you there own opinions, but keep in mind one thing-

-With a WET kit you're physically adding extra fuel with the nitrous going into the motor.

-With a DRY kit, you are NOT ADDING any extra fuel with the nitrous. You are relying on the injectors/computor to add more fuel.

That's the main reason I don't like DRY kits. That doesn't mean they don't work, hell I used a DRY kit on my Altima and it worked like a champ. IMO though, a WET kit is more efficient and "safer".

I agree that wet kits are safer, thus better......I finally put mine in after a year of it sitting in my basement. Went from 50hp during testing to 100hp on a bolt-on lt1 with long tubes and true duals. Next comes a walbro fuel pump, afp regulator, and a 150hp shot to see how she likes it.

Yeah i'd much rather go with a wet kit then blow my motor with a dry, lol, but i wouldn't do more than 100 shot cause my TA is mostly stock with minor bolt ons.

Re: Wet kit on an LT1

you need to raise your fuel pressure if you use a dry kit or even go with bigger injectors in order to compensate...
