Wanted to check with the experts
Hey Guys, i want to be cool like you. What do you think about me installing just a basic 100 shot dry Nitrous Express system? Does NX have a good product, what safety accessories should I get installed? I have a 2002 SS. I will not be doing the install, I'll have a local shop do it so I don't destroy something. Anyone in Salt Lake that could recommend someone?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Also, is a 100 shot enough to start thinking about my fuel. Should I upgrade the ignition? I don't want to kill my new LS1. Should I keep it down to a 50 or 75 shot? NOS scares me, I need some sort of an assurance that I'm not going hurt my motor.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
Brady,
My best suggestion would be to read as much as possible about nitrous, until you're not scared of it. The person that cares most about your engine is you, and if you don't feel comfortable installing it yourself, and doing all the testing and debugging, I certainly wouldn't hand the job off to someone else. He not going to give you a guarantee...
If you haven't read my write-up, I'll recommend it - in my sig.
Good luck,
Dave

if your scared don't do it
this is my rule of thumb if your making BIG payments on a car that you don't have a title then you have no reason moding.
95 lt1 paid off in 1999
all serious mod's have been put on since 2001 lol
i juST ADDED 125 SHOT of nx soon to be 150

Hey Dave, excellent site! Thanks for taking the time to let us Novices know what's up with everything.
After reading Dave's info I don't trust myself or any performance shop on making any decisions yet. I didn't even know that the LS1's rev limiter was the injectors, I thought it was just the spark. Can you imagine hitting the rev limiter and having your injectors shut off while NOS is going full blast, that could be bad.
