Vortech elbow?

with a vortech intake elbow, where would i put a NX shark Nozzle? i thought maybe i could drill from underneath through the center vein about halfway up. then the nozzle would be able to spray evenly on both sides, right?

i was thinking of using a NX wet kit with the shark nozzle. how does the plate compare? if the plate is better, i could use it.

if i end up using the Shark Nozzle, i am going to have to remove the first few inches of the vein in the elbow to make it work. i figure that it would be give me a better mixture if the nozzle were placed near the MAF side of the elbow, right?

you dont want your nitrous mixture to have to make that turn in the elbow. i have asked around and the there is no performance difference between the plate and nozzle

I cut the center vane out with a dremel about 3" back and mounted the fogger nozzle in the normal position. It took about 40 minutes to do.

i was thinking of doing this, but was unsure at how much fuel and N2O would be wasted on the front of the 'airfoiless' throttle body. i think i am going to run a plate with a spraybar in it.

I used two. One at ~2 and the other at ~10 o'clock just a couple of inches upstream from the throttle body.

I did the same as Rich. But I only have one fogger plumbed at the moment and a bolt in the other hole. You can see some of the pics on this cheesy web page I am trying to build.

As long as you don't spray thru the MAF, you can mount it darn near anywhere.. my nozzle is in the Moroso CAI, about a foot before the elbow (no MAF).. at any rpm above idle, the air is moving fast enough to pull it around and thru the bends.. think about the right angles it has to make inside the intake!

thanks all. i am probably going to just mount it at the beginning of the elbow, about 2 inches behind the MAF.

does it matter how the noxxle is put in? i am going to drill and tap the hole tomorrow, so it is ready for the nozzle. i am just curious if it makes a difference if the nozzle is mounted more to the rear (down near the thermostat housing) of the elbow, since the vein is in there?
