Venom or Nex???
Venom or Nex???
I know that both these systems (Venom 1000 and NEX) are dry, both about $650, and both come with a computer to mantain air/fuel ratio. Which system is better and most simple?
IF I get one of these systems, do i still need copper plugs, msd 6a ignition, window switch, fuel pump, better fuel lines and better injectors??
The reason for choosing between these kits is that I dont have the time to tune and such like the non computer systems take. I am looking for something as simple as possible for my street car.

actually you are thinking of ZEX. I dont think the venom is good in ANY way.
Zex reference fuel to bottle pressure,so if you have it jetted for a 75 shot, and bottle pressure is too low......i dont see it giving all it can.
There is hardly any tuning with Wet systems.
Also you HAVE to run copper plugs, and ignition will depends on how big of a shot you use......same goes for fuel pump.
If you keep the shot small, you wont need fuel pump/reg./injectors. Dunno bout you,but i dont trust my STOCK injectors to supply anymore fuel than what they are supposed to. Thats the MAIN reason i will never have a dry system unless i get FAST/Motec/DFI

yah, typo on zex, whoops. I guess i overestimated the amount of tuning it took for like a nx wet kit. I was looking at the wet kit at first, but thought the computer dry systems would be better.
On a nx wet kit, how hard is it to tune? What do u do? Do u have to do a lot of adjusting between switching from like a 75 shot and a 125 shot besides changing the jets? If it aint that difficult, i will probably go with a wet kit from nx, they are cheaper (dont have to buy injectors) and i have heard good things about nx, seems everybody is using it. Plz share how long it took to set up your systems and how difficult it is. I dont think i will have much trouble considering my dad is a mechanic and has a Hemi in his thunderbird...beast!
Thx for help.

Only "tuning" i had to do was swapping fuel jets from what NX recommended. for MY car,the jets they recommended was too rich,so i went down 1 size at a time to get it to where I was happy. All cars are different,so you might be good with what they say.
Thats about all the tuning that was involved,if you plan on 125,i would suggest some type of ignition box and possibly a retard to be safe.
Setup was done 1.5 years ago, have no clue how long it took (suffer from crs).
