Using A Nitrous Noid As A Fuel Noid?

whats the difference in them? has anyone investigated this? do they make something different in the solenoids nitrous vs fuel? trying to hook up a kit for my buddy and i have a spare one laying in my gayrage, extra bottle, line, nozzles etc. but i one have two last nitrous solenoids. i used the last fuel noid i had for MY 2nd stage last week so im trying to see if i can get this wet kit going in his car by using just 2 nitrous solenoids.... thanks

I know they use different seals, but I can't remember if the passages are a different size or not. They both seal against a liquid, the nitrous just has a bigger spring and magnet to handle the higher pressures. It SHOULD work..

Depends on the brand, NOS nitrous solenoids can not be used as a fuel solenoid. Other brands may use diffrent material so you may be able to but I'm not sure. The only other problem is the orifice size. Most fuel solenoids have an orifice that is larger than the nitrous solenoid so you will have more pressure drop across the solenoid.

You can use a N2O solenoid for fuel, as long as it has the teflon plunger. But keep in mind the orifice sizes. Fuel is usually larger. If its a small kit, it wont really cause a problem. The only difference between the 2 is the orifice size, and the material on the plunger.
